Vaginal dryness and painful intercourse

Sensitive pelvic health support and appropriate medical referrals for dryness and pain during sex. Ask NARI Health about gynaecology and pelvic health support and the right starting point for your concern.

What you can discuss

You can discuss discomfort privately in the consultation and explain only what you feel ready to share. Ask a gynaecologist about dryness and possible causes of pain. Pelvic physiotherapy may be part of support if an assessment indicates a muscle-related concern; other causes may need different care.

Prepare for your appointment

Note when discomfort started, whether it occurs outside intercourse and any relevant medicines, childbirth or menopause changes. Ask the expert what an assessment involves and whether a clinic appointment is needed. You can discuss consent and boundaries before any examination.

Assessment and appropriate care

Painful intercourse does not have one universal cause or treatment. Persistent dryness, unusual discharge or bleeding after sex should be medically assessed. Pelvic exercises are not a substitute for identifying the cause.

Start with a video consultation from anywhere in India. If you prefer in-person care, ask about partner-clinic availability in Bulandshahr, Noida and Delhi NCR. The coordinator must confirm a suitable expert, clinic address, fee and slot before you travel. Some assessments require an in-person visit.

A single video consultation is ₹199. Ongoing plans are ₹799 for 7 days or ₹2,499 for 30 days. Ask what your selected plan includes; clinic visits are quoted separately. Meet the NARI panel or ask the team to help you choose.
