Frequent urination and urinary leakage

Bladder training and pelvic floor rehabilitation where appropriate after assessment of urinary symptoms. Ask NARI Health about medical evaluation and pelvic health physiotherapy and the right starting point for your concern.

What you can discuss

Describe whether you leak when coughing or exercising, feel a sudden urge, visit the toilet often or have difficulty emptying. These patterns may need different approaches. NARI can help with an enquiry about pelvic rehabilitation while medical assessment identifies other possible causes.

Prepare for your appointment

If you already keep a bladder diary, bring it. Otherwise note when symptoms happen, how long they have been present and their effect on sleep or activity. Ask whether you need medical tests before bladder training or a rehabilitation plan.

Assessment and appropriate care

Frequent urination and leakage should not automatically be treated as a weak pelvic floor. Seek prompt medical advice for burning, fever or blood in urine, and urgent help if you cannot pass urine. Do not postpone assessment while trying exercises.
